Steven Jon Skrukrud, 45 passed away on July 16th in Fort Worth, Texas. Steven Skrukrud was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 28th, 1974. His family came to Texas in 1980 where they planted deep roots in the HEB area.
Steve never knew a stranger. He was known for his kind and empathetic heart and his friendship to all. He loved his daughter Isabella fiercely and loved to spend time with her watching scary movies and going to Red Robin. Steve had a passion for football, he played center for the Trinity Trojans and he loved the Minnesota Vikings, he also loved listening to Heavy Metal. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. Steve loved to give everyone a nickname. He was the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off of his back and he loved to help his family and friends in any way that he could.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Terrence G. Skrukrud.
He is survived by his daughter Isabella Skrukrud; his mother Carol DeVivo; his brother Glen Skrukrud; his brother Sal DeVivo and spouse Rebecca, and nephews Domanic and Chazz; his brother John DeVivo and spouse Lindsay and children Stella, Jack, Gus and Benedict Pio; his brother Ralph DeVivo and spouse Melissa, and nephews Chandler and Jacob and his children; as well as many other family and friends who loved him very much.
A visitation will take place at Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 South Main Street in Keller on Thursday July 23rd from 5:30pm – 8:00pm.
Funeral mass will be performed at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2016 Willis Lane in Keller on Friday July 24th at 3pm.
