Sudhir Kumar Chawla, age 65, passed away on July 12, 2019 at home in Colleyville, Texas. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16th, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Texas.
Sudhir is survived by his wife Yasuko Chawla, daughter Dipika Chawla, son Millan Chawla, parents Baldev and Kanta Chawla, and many loving extended family members and friends. Sudhir or “Kiki” will always be remembered as a man who took care of family. He was also the life of the party, someone who brought people from all walks of life and backgrounds together around good food, good drinks, good stories, and lots of laughter. He was an avid reader and lover of music.
Sudhir was born on April 20, 1954 in Port Louis, Mauritius. Over his lifetime, Sudhir lived all over the world, from India to Sri Lanka, Belgium, and Japan before moving to the United States, where he lived for the past 33 years. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Stephen’s College in New Delhi, India, a Master’s degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, New Jersey. Sudhir had a long career in the financial sector in information technology management on Wall Street in New York City and in the Dallas area.
