Susan Page Mitchell was born on May 13, 1946 to Mary Louse Mosley and Alvin Albert Mosley in Little Rock, Ar. She passed on Oct. 8th at home with her family at the age of 74.
Susan graduated Little Rock Central High School in 1964 and went to the University of Ark. at Fayetteville. She married Phil Mitchell on her 21st birthday, May 13, 1967. They were married for 53 years at the time of her death. They had one child, Amanda Page Chaney, in 1973.
Susan worked an array of jobs including Insurance, Teacher's aid, car saleswoman, receptionist, and lunch lady at Mitchell's elementary school. Mitchell was her greatest joy and her favorite hobby was spending time with him. They had a very special bond, and he lovingly named her "Faye" when he was 2. We still have no idea where that came from.
She loved spending time with her family, playing black jack, shopping, and sitting on her patio with her dog, Biscuit.
Susan was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Louise Mosley, Father, Alvin Albert Mosley, Step mother, LaVerne Mosley, Sister, Melinda Bracy, Brother in law, Dr. Calvin Bracy, and Nephew, Cal Bracy.
She is Survived by her husband, Phil Mitchell; Daughter, Amanda Chaney; Grandson, Mitchell; and son in law, David Chaney. And so many special family and friends.
She was tough and stubborn, feisty, protective, funny, loving, and generous to a fault. Her friends have described her as a "Hoot" and "one of a kind". She loved her family and friends fiercely, She was loyal, honest, and sometimes overbearing, but she loved with every ounce of her being. Her spirit will be missed beyond measure.
