Sybyl Fry

September 12, 1925 — December 20, 2012

HALTOM CITY -- Sybyl Hamilton Fry, 87, our beloved Nina, left this earth and into the arms of Jesus on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Lucas Sylvania Funeral Home with a graveside service in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Sybyl lived in Fort Worth since 1937. She married the love of her life, J. C. Fry, and began her decades-long career of teaching, entertaining, comforting and raising generations of family and friends.

Through it all, Jesus was her mentor and the Holy Bible was her guide. She was a member of several local Baptist churches for over 75 years and was leader of BSF for more than a decade.

While God and volunteering was her mission, children were her passion. Sybyl was a great public speaker, a delightful hostess and a wonderful cook. Over the years, she fed thousands physically, spiritually and parentally, when she thought it was needed.

Survivors: She is survived by her sister, Barbara Ann Kayser; children, Sydna Fry Pinkston Hinkle, Paula Fry Cotton, Karla Fry Hinkle and husband, Robert Hinkle; grandchildren, Wes Pinkston, Matt "Boomer" Pinkston and wife, Danna, Luke Cotton and wife, Anna, J.P. Cotton and wife, Kalea, Scott Hinkle, Jacy Hinkle and David Hinkle; great-grandchildren, Kody, Dylan, Taylor, Lane, Morgan, Mia, Hailei, Kyler; and great-great-grandchild, Carsyn.
