Sylvia Joan Trammell

Sylvia Joan Trammell, 85, a Hurst resident for over 60 years, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024.

She loved books, was an avid reader, and enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and card games.

Despite life's difficulties, she remained kind to those around her and never lost her sense of humor.

Sylvia was a dedicated church member, a good friend, and a good neighbor who gave selflessly to many charities and to those in need. She was a joy, a pillar of strength and a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Funeral Service: 11 am, Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Peace Lutheran Church, where she had been a member since 1967.

Interment: Sylvia will be laid to rest at 11:00 am, Friday, March 22, 2024 in Ericksdahl Cemetery near Stamford, Texas.

Visitation: The family will receive friends 5:30 to 7:30 pm Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst.

Preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Earl Trammell, married 47 years.

Survivors: son, Troy Trammell and wife, Terri; daughter, Minda Hust, and husband, Tom; Six grandchildren: Matthew Trammell and wife, Kelsey; Chancie Lopez, and husband, Mauricio; Rylan Hust and wife, Amanda; Taber Hust and wife, Erin; Brody Hust and wife, Elise; and Macy Baker, and husband, Brandon; Six great-grandchildren: Jared Trammell, Parker Lopez, Sadie Hust, Branson Hust, Declan Hust, and Emersyn Hust; One sister, Janice Thornton, and two brothers, Roger and Lonnie Hokanson
