Taylor Jay Phillips passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022 in North Richland Hills, Texas.
SERVICES: Visitation is 5-7 PM Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Funeral Service will be 10 AM Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, Texas.
Taylor was born on May 30, 1992 in Fort Worth, Texas. Taylor grew up in Haslet, Texas with his parents Greer and Laurie, his older sister Sammie, and his younger brother Reed. Taylor graduated from Northwest High School and attended The University of North Texas. He was a member of the high school golf team and continued to be an avid golfer throughout his life. Taylor enjoyed fishing in the family pond at a young age. This evolved into a hobby that would eventually take him on multiple fishing trips to Mexico with friends. Taylor started his career at UPS in 2018, working nights, gassing and washing trucks. He quickly progressed to delivery driver, serving the greater Decatur area and spoke highly of many of his customers who were especially kind to him. Taylor enjoyed a well-manicured lawn, and loved his family dearly. He especially loved spending time with his niece, Ava Grace, sharing his love of Disney with her. He will be missed dearly by his friends and family.
He is survived by his parents, Laurie and Greer Phillips; brother, Reed Phillips, sister, Sammie and husband Nick Anagnostis; grandmother, Margaret McDonald and niece, Ava Anagnostis.
