Teddie Allen Kidwill, age 80, peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 28, after bravely battling cancer. He was born on May 31, 1943, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Clyne and Mary Kidwill. Growing up in Haltom City, Teddie developed a deep passion for all things western, particularly rodeo. His love for riding bulls led him to earn a scholarship at Sul Ross University in Alpine, Texas.
Teddie dedicated himself to the family business before embarking on a successful 60-year career in sales. Throughout his life, he remained connected to his cowboy roots, owning and cherishing thoroughbred and quarter horses until shortly before his passing. Teddie was a hardworking man and a committed member of St. Vincent’s Episcopal Church in Bedford, Texas.
He is survived by his brothers William Kidwill and wife Sue of Irving, Texas, and Scotty Kidwill and wife Rene of Meridian, Idaho, along with his nephews Keith Kidwill of Ft. Worth, Texas and Richard Kidwill of Meridian, Idaho. Nieces Elise Pimentel and husband Gabriel of Bedford, Texas. Tiffany Kidwill of Meridian, Idaho. Haley Almeida and husband Ricky of Meridian, Idaho.
A funeral service to celebrate Teddie’s life will be held on Saturday, June 1, at 1 PM at St. Vincent’s Episcopal Church, located at 1300 Forest Ridge Drive, Bedford, Texas, 76022. Following the service, interment will take place 3 PM at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 2301 N. Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas, 76111.
