Terrence Frank Pointer was born on August 9, 1935, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Catherine Irene (Huchison) Pointer and Thurman E. Pointer. Terry attended schools in Wichita Falls, Texas and Wichita, Kansas. In 1958, he graduated from Missouri Valley College, Marshall, Missouri. The next two years were devoted to Uncle Sam. After an honorable discharge from the Army, Terry began his career in 1960 with the Boy Scouts of America in Waterloo, Iowa. During the next 40-plus years with BSA, he served in Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Texas.
In 1964, he married Colleen (Ryan). They welcomed their daughter Emily Ann in 1980. Terry has two grandsons, Maddock and Camden Freeman.
Terry was a member of St. Laurence Anglican Church, Southlake, Texas.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Edwin and David.
Survivors: Wife of 56 years, Colleen Pointer; a loving and devoted daughter and son-in-law, Emily Ann and Reid Freeman; grandsons, Maddock and Camden Freeman. Also surviving are nieces and nephews Pamela, Michael, Cathy, Michelle, Amy and Paul.
