Theda Marie Blakley Elleven, 74, of Burleson, Texas, passed away peacefully after a long, hard fought battle against Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Monday, March 23rd, 2020.
Theda was born June 27, 1945, in Alvarado, TX to Paul Eugene and Helen Januice (Hudson) Blakley, both preceded her in death. She was raised in Burleson, TX with brothers Jimmy and Johnnie, graduated from Burleson High School in May, 1963 and married the Love of Her Life, James Elleven, December 31, 1963. They had three children together, Russell (wife Gayle), Tamara (husband Rudy) Avalos and Melissa Mansfield. She had four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Numerous relatives and friends also held a special place in heart through the years.
After graduating from nursing school, Theda enjoyed working as a medical office manager and in the home health field. She loved traveling with her family and friends, cooking for anyone and everyone, gardening, painting, knitting and sewing and taking care of her beloved animals and hummingbirds. Our precious wife, mother, sister, and friend will be missed more than the spoken word can tell by all who knew and loved her.
Due to the circumstances of the Covid-19 Virus, there will be a small, private funeral on Friday, March 27th with Chaplain David Garcia of VITAS Hospice officiating. We will have a live stream of the service for those unable to attend.
