Thelma Bozeman Dacus, 87, passed away Sunday, February 9.
Thelma is survived by daughter Judy Hill, granddaughter Jana Hill and her husband Brian Cholewinski, and great grandson Everett Cholewinski.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Bobby Jack Dacus, her parents Walter and Bessie Bozeman, 5 brothers, 4 sisters and son-in-law David Hill.
She was born September 15, 1932 in Hedley, Texas and was the youngest of 10 children. The Bozeman family lived in several small towns in the Texas Panhandle finally settling in Pampa. Thelma and her mother moved to Ft Worth in the late 1940s. In 1953, she married Bob and moved to Hurst where they lived for almost 40 years before retiring to the farm in Athens.
Thelma had many hobbies and interests such as gardening, fishing, raising livestock and doing anything outdoors with Bob. She loved crafts especially crochet. Thelma was a collector of almost anything, including salt shakers, thimbles, antiques, dolls and depression glass.
Memorial service: Saturday, February 22, 11am, First United Methodist Church of Hurst, Pirtle Chapel.
