Remembering the life and legacy of Theodore J Henderson Sr.
Theodore J Henderson Sr., son of the late Jessie Pattillo was born on May 29, 1952, in New York, New York. He was taken into the hands of the Lord on Wednesday February 7, 2024, after a brief illness.
Theodore received his early education in the NYC school system and attended and graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in The Bronx, New York. He also furthered his education at North Lake Community college in Irving, Texas. It was there that he embraced the “New” technology and later became a self-taught computer IT specialist.
Theodore began his work career with the NYC Transit Authority where he was cited as being an exemplary employee in providing service to the public. After relocating to Texas, he continued his career providing service to the public by becoming a Police Officer which is a position he held until his retirement.
Theodore enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed traveling to distant parts of the world and made sure to sample the local cuisine which allowed him to pursue his passion for fine dining. His love for the beaches and the oceans led him to become a certified scuba diver on one of his many trips to Hawaii. Theodore had a keen sense of business which afforded him the opportunity to start his own business. He loved children and took great joy in mentoring them and imparting the great wealth of knowledge he had acquired during his lifetime.
Theodore was a member of the St. John Baptist Church and attended regularly until his health did not permit him to do so.
Theodore leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his wife Annie Henderson, his four children, a host of grandchildren, one great grandchild and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Shenney Jackson.
