Thomas W. Brister

It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas William Brister, Jr. announces his death on 6/27/18 at 9:17 am at the Medical City Hospital in McKinney Texas. Thomas was born July 17th 1936 to Martha and Thomas Brister at Alvin Bay Hospital in Alvin Texas.
Tommy leaves behind his twins Thomas Brister III and Victoria Verhey both age 44.
Tommy also leaves behind three step children, Buddy Hanna, Carlene Brumley, and Donna Baimonte. He also had a large extended family including 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and 4 nieces. Tommy graduated from high school in 1954 from Alvin High School, and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1960.
Tommy was a talented pipefitter and held fidelity with the Pipefitters Local 211 for 60 years. Tommy loved his children and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren, spending endless hours with them. Tommy also loved baseball, fishing, and racing.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday July 3, 7-8 PM at Lucas Funeral Home-Grapevine, Texas, 700 W. Wall Street, Grapevine, Texas. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 5th, 10 AM. at the Lucas Funeral Home - Grapevine, 700 W Wall Street, Grapevine, TX 76051
A Graveside-Inturment will follow at 1:00pm at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211
