Thomas “Tom” Dolan 1939-2020
Tom Dolan passed away at the age of 80 in his home on May 22nd, 2020 in North Richland Hills, Texas. Tom has now reunited with his beloved wife, Edna Thacher Dolan, who passed in 2011, along with his parents, Tom and Bettie Dolan and his brothers, Dick and Pat.
Tom leaves behind a legacy of caring, generosity and stubbornness, as well as friends and family too numerous to list. Tom is survived by his uncle, Ed Brown; daughter, Debra; son, Mike; daughter-in-law, Mary; grandson, Connor; and his loyal friend and dog, Bailey.
Tom could accomplish whatever he set his mind to. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a realtor and a real estate instructor, a thoroughbred horse owner and trainer, a writer and ceaseless researcher, and had retired from GTE Directory Services as the International Manager of Information Management.
As a longtime resident of Colleyville, TX, Tom was a member of the Lions Club, had served on the Colleyville Zoning and Planning Committee, and was an alumnus of the Colleyville Citizen Police Academy and a proud supporter of the Colleyville Police Department.
