RICHLAND HILLS -- Thomas William Fleming, 73, passed away on Monday, Oct. 19, 2015.
Funeral: 2:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Tom was born Feb. 11, 1942, in Shreveport, La., to the late Alonzo and Willie Marie Fleming. He worked as a truck driver for over 25 years before founding Harvest Outreach Street Ministry. Tom began his ministry in 1990 feeding the homeless from the trunk of his car. He later was ordained as a minister and continued to minister to others through the rest of his life. Even when he was unable to get out of his truck, he would deliver food to those who were in need. Tom will be remembered by all the lives he touched and changed.
Survivors: Son, Thomas William Fleming II and wife, Christina; daughter, Gina Marlar; grandchildren, Thomas William Fleming III, Zachery Fleming and Sarah Marlar; great-grandson, Hadyn Marlar; brother, Richard Fleming; and special friend, Jane McDaniel.
