Thomas Nelson Urban was born on February 3rd, 1946 in Great Falls, Montana. Tom went to a better place on
February 8th around noon from cardiac arrest, the day after the Super Bowl. He had one of his many Dallas Cowboys T-shirts on when he passed. It was only fitting; he loved the Cowboys!
Tom enlisted in the Army after high school and served in the Vietnam war. After Vietnam he was stationed at Fort Riley Kansas where he met his wife Peggy of 51 years, who was a student at Kansas State University. Tom then went to college at UMKC in Kansas City, Missouri. After college Tom and Peggy moved to Wichita, Kansas where they had their first child: their son Damon. Tom’s job then transferred him and his family to Arlington, Texas where he had two more children: his daughters Shelly and Shanda. He is also survived by his brother Tim Urban and his wife Jeanie, and their sons, Christopher and Michael; and 6 wonderful grandchildren: Taylor, Felicia, Caelyn, Emily, Lillian, and CJ, along with his daughter-in-law Doreen Urban and son-in-law Jim Kohtz. Tom loved his grandchildren and never missed any event they participated in!
