Thomas Wood

Thomas Darrell Wood, 71, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012, surrounded by family and friends who loved him.

SERVICE: Graveside, 11:00 am, Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Bluff Dale, TX. VISITATION: 6:30-7:30 pm, Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst.

Thomas was born December 6, 1940 in Cleburne, TX to Booth Thomas and Cleta Loree Cason Wood.

Although his time in the Army led him to many interesting places around the world, Thomas considered Fort Worth as his home. He was very proud of his state, his country, and most of all, his family.

His life consisted of several interesting business endeavors, but his work in the oil fields were high on his list of accomplishments.

As often as life allowed, Thomas was on the lake enjoying his favorite past time of fishing. He loved being in his boat, fishing pole in hand, with family and friends. We are grateful for the gift of his life and the many lessons we learned during his time with us.

Please join his family in thanking God for his life. We miss him very much.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, as well as his brother Gary Wood.

He leaves behind two sons, Richard Claunch and family, Derrick Wood and family, as well as one daughter, Shawnda Lombardozzi and her family. He also leaves one sister, Marcia Slater and family, and one brother, Milton Wood and family.

During his life, he was blessed with thirteen grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
