On the evening of October 26, 2016, Tia passed away at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, as a result of a pulmonary embolism. Tia was 21 years old.
Tia was born on June 7, 1995, at the Bitburg Air Base hospital in Germany. She is the third child of seven, and first daughter born to Vincent James and Margret Mae Aragona.
Tia will always be remembered as an old soul, full of life and wisdom at a young age. She was heavily influenced in her walk with Christ by her mother and the multitude of women that surrounded her. She was ecstatic to marry the love of her life and brought to fulfillment by being called Mommy.
Tia is survived by her husband Jake Mendenhall, son Ayden Mendenhall, as well as her parents Vincent and Margret Aragona, and brothers Cordero, Jiacomo, Jericho, Mossimo, Armondo and her little sissy Bethany. Additionally, Jakes parents David and Vanessa Mendenhall and his brother Joshua and sister Madison.
A Celebration Service is being held at 3PM, Sunday, October 30, at the Dallas Gateway Campus located at 12123 Hillcrest Rd, Dallas, TX, 75230. A Gofundme account has been set up to assist the family (Tia and Jake Fund).
A special thanks to the Baylor Grapevine and Baylor University Medical Center staffs for going above and beyond and serving us with grace and compassion. An enormous thank you, a debt we cannot repay to the staff and members at Gateway Church. Jesus Christ has shone brightly through you all. Finally, all the family and friends, we could not do this life without you. You have propped us up in this time of heaviness. We love you all.
