Tibor Geza Penzes

Tibor G. Penzes (Ty), 96, of Tarrant County, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at home with his loving family by his side. Born in Papa, Hungary on April 5, 1928, he was a son of the late Joseph I. and Maria (Vago) Penzes.
He attended high school at St. Benedek Kollegium Gymnasium in Papa, Hungary. Fleeing Hungary with his family in 1945 as a refugee, he graduated as a Displaced Person in Passau-Pfarrkirchen, Germany. The family emigrated to Bethlehem, PA (North Hampton County) in 1950 and were active at St. John Capistrano RCC.
Ty earned his draftsman certificate and his Professional Engineer license in Pennsylvania. He worked for numerous companies: Heintz Manufacturing, Lee Tire & Rubber Company, Bestwall Gypsum, Flintkote Company and Georgia Pacific as a draftsman and mechanical engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Maria E. Penzes of Grapevine; his son, Tibor J. Penzes and his wife, Michelle Penzes of Euless; his daughter, Maria M. Penzes of Grapevine; his daughter-in-law, Paisley B. Penzes of Argyle; his grandchildren, Jackson T. Penzes and Zoe I. Penzes of Argyle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Attila T. Penzes; his brothers Julius Penzes and Joseph I Penzes
A funeral mass will be held for Tibor on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 11:00AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 Wildwood Lane, Grapevine, TX 76051. Following the funeral mass, a funeral luncheon reception will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to Lucas Funeral Home, 700 W Wall St, Grapevine, TX 76051.
