Timothy William Herdman

January 21, 1965 — December 30, 2020

Timothy William Herdman (“Tim”) passed away peacefully December 30, 2020, at Huguley Hospital in Burleson, TX, surrounded by his family at the age of 55. Services are to be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at 1 pm at Doxology Bible Church 4805 Arborlawn Dr. Fort Worth, TX (masks will be required).
Tim was born January 21, 1965, in Abilene, TX, at Dyess Air Force Base to Mr. Russell Herdman and Ms. Elizabeth Graham-Cook. He grew up in Lake Worth, TX, and graduated from the University of North Texas in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in finance. While living in Dallas, TX, Tim met the love of his life Kimberly Westfall of Benbrook, TX, on a blind date. They were married less than 2 years later in June of 1991 and spent over 29 years living the fullest of lives together.
Tim began his very illustrious career in the oil and gas industry as an financial analyst for Oryx Energy. He was then fortunate to work alongside his father-in-law James Westfall and grew the family business W Two Plus, Inc. into a thriving company. He was the most motivated and hardest working individual that lead him to a lifetime of successful business ownership.
Tim was a devoted faithful servant dedicated to growing the Lord’s army every day. He was the spiritual leader of his family and devoted to making sure that his children knew Christ. He lead his family to become members at St. Barnabas United Methodist Church of Arlington and most recently at First United Methodist Church of Itasca. If you knew Tim, you knew his love for Jesus.
Tim’s pride and joy in life was loving and taking care of his family. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Tim was the biblical definition of a father; Tim was called upon to be a leader, protector, and provider of his family, strong in his faith, and raised his children to know the Lord. Reid and Samantha were blessed with his biblical example. Tim was a true outdoorsman; whether he was in the mountains, the deer blind, driving the boat, at the beach, or riding his motorcycle, he lived life to the fullest and dutifully for the Lord. Tim was a quiet, passive man who never met a stranger and enjoyed being with people.
Among all of Tim’s successes, his greatest accomplishment was his love. His love for Jesus, Kimberly, Reid, Samantha, his family, and friends. Tim loved every person in his life, just as Jesus would.
Tim is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Kimberly, and their two children Reid and Samantha Herdman of Itasca, TX; father and stepmom, Russell and Adele Herdman; mother, Elizabeth Graham-Cook; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Gloria Westfall; sister, Kim Watson; brother, James and wife, Caitie McCormick; and numerous nieces and nephews. He leaves behind many, many friends and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.
Tim was greeted in his Forever Home by many loved ones that have gone before him.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to one of the following charities.
• First United Methodist Church of Itasca
• Shriners Children’s Hospital
• St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital
