Todd Ashley Milam

March 31, 1965 — October 15, 2020

Todd Ashley Milam, 55, of Burleson, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020.
Todd was born March 31, 1965, in Texarkana, TX, to Gerald and Myrtis Milam. He graduated in Lewisville, Texas in 1983 and continued on to college at the (then) North Texas State University. After obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree, he continued on to obtain his Master’s Degree at University of North Texas at Denton. He married his high school sweetheart, Cyndy Rash in 1991. They have two sons, Christopher C. Milam and Caden G. Milam. The family first lived in Clovis, New Mexico where Todd first worked in Guidance and Counseling. They subsequently lived in Tennessee, Oklahoma, Georgia, and finally in Texas as Todd continued to move up the higher education ladder. Todd’s work at University of North Texas, Dallas, was extremely rewarding, and a source of continuing satisfaction and pride. Todd was devoted to his family, which included his daughter-in-law, Rachelle Milam and his pride and joy Connor Hayes Milam, his grandson. Todd was an avid lover of golf, foxes, all things weather, Colorado Aspens, Bob Ross, and a good home-cooked meal. An intensely private person, he showed his poker hand to few, but to those few, he gave his entire heart. If he had to be summed up by one phrase, it would be the fortune cookie he opened up one night some years ago. “You are a perfectionist, don’t spoil it.” Todd was extremely aware of his faults, but tried in every way to give the best of himself to all he knew.
Todd’s attention to detail and acts of service served all he knew, whether at the University of North Texas, Dallas, at church where he served as Deacon, or at home where he often took up the slack left by an exhausted teacher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Myrtis Milam.
Todd leaves behind a loving and grieving family; his wife Cyndy; sons, Chris and Caden; daughter-in-law, Rachelle; grandson, Connor; step-mother, Joan Milam, as well as many dear friends, family, and coworkers, until we see each other again.
