December 21, 1918 — June 23, 2015

KELLER – Thomas Belle (Tom B.) Graham Everett, 96, a husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, passed away June 23, 2015 surrounded by the family he loved.
VISITATION: Wednesday, June 24, 2015, 6 to 8 pm at the Lucas Funeral Home, 137 E Hill Street, Keller, Texas.
FUNERAL: Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Lucas Funeral Home, 137 E Hill Street, Keller, Texas, with the Rev. Harley Martin and Pastor Jeremy Howard officiating.
Interment: Mt Olivet Cemetery, Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2015.
Tom was born December 21, 1918 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Walter Thomas Graham and Flora Belle Domke Graham. His birth father, a World War I soldier, was lost behind enemy lines and was considered MIA. His mother then married Edward Jackson Everett who adopted Tom.
He attended schools in Pauls Valley and Paoli, Oklahoma. He received his GED in 1971 and received a position to supervisor at General Dynamics, Fort Worth. Before entering the Army Air Corps in 1942, Tom worked for Tyler & Simpson, Colliers Food Distributors and the Pauls Valley Ice Plant. He served during World War II in the European Theater landing on Normandy Beach with the 7th Depot Supply Squadron, unloading supplies needed to defeat the Axis Powers in Europe. He served in the Rhineland, Northern France and Central Europe and achieved the rank of Sergeant. He was a personal driver to several Generals during that period in Europe. He was honorably and proudly discharged on October 2, 1945.
He returned to his home town where he married his lifelong sweetheart, Erma Lee Holderby. They were married June 21, 1947, and they just celebrated 68 years together on Father's Day. They moved to Fort Worth in 1950 where Tom worked for Consolidate|Convair|General Dynamics, and then Mid-Texas Mfg. until his retirement. He continued to work for several more years for the AARP Pharmacy, where he again retired.
Tom enjoyed working with his hands. He was a sign painter, a carpenter, and do-it-yourself mechanic and repairman. There was nothing he could not do and do it well. He finally, very reluctantly, but due to health, quit working at 88 years of age.
In December 2008 he moved with his wife to Keller to be near their son.
Tom was a charter member of Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God and had been a member of the North Side Assembly of God, Fort Worth, since 1950. He served the church for many years driving a church bus. He had a very strong work ethic and never wanted to depend on anyone else. He was a loving and honorable husband, dad and granddad.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved grandmother Rachel Stroughn, sisters, Ella Edson, Belle Swisher and Lucy Shaver, one brother Carl Graham and a son, Tommy Leon Everett.
SURVIVORS: Wife of 68 years Erma, one son Pastor Gary Everett and wife Marla, one daughter, Jana Crabtree, all of Keller, three grandsons (the joy of his life), Marcus Graham Everett (Nichole), of Colorado Springs, Keenan Loyd Everett of Fort Worth, and Gary Christopher Meek (Taylor) of Keller, and a niece Mitzi Shaver Johnson (Rick) of Burleson.
The family wishes to thank Heritage House of Keller and Covenant Hospice for their dedicated and loving care of our husband and dad.
Memorial gifts may be made in Tom's memory to the Missions Department of Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God, 420 S Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth, or Radiant Life Fellowship Church Building Fund, PO Box 573, Roanoke, TX.
