Tommie Rex Belcher, age 83, born November 2, 1937 in Pecos Texas and passed away November 20, 2021 at his home in Fort Worth Texas. He was born to John Jefferson Belcher and Melba Adelia Bradley.
He graduated from Paschel High School and went on to college at Texas Christian University and Tarrant County College. He worked for General Dynamics, Vought Aerospace and retired from Bell Helicopter.
Tommie proudly served his country in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Paratrooper from 1957 – 1960. He received the Good Conduct medal, sharpshooter badge (pistol and rifle) and the Parachutist badge. He enjoyed reading, watching western movies, gardening, dancing and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jeff Belcher; mother, Melba Belcher; sister, Gaye Belcher Powell and step-mother, O.M. Belcher.
Tommie is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Marie Ella Belcher; son, Todd Belcher and his wife Nancy; daughter, Toi Belcher Lee; step daughter, Marla McCann Davis; step son, Mark McCann; brother, Ronnie Belcher; half sister, Pandora Belcher Crossan and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm, Tuesday, October 26, 2021 with a Rosary beginning at 7 pm at Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 South Main St., Keller, Texas 76248. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 pm, October 27, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2016 Willis Lane, Keller, Texas 76248.
