Thomas “Tommie” Ann Ward, age 81, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 5th, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Ms. Ward was born on July 21, 1935 in Fort Worth, Texas to John Thomas Richeson and Clara Throckmorton. She had two brothers and three sisters. She married E.E. Ward of Hattiesburg, Mississippi in April of 1953. They had 6 children. She attended Carter High School and Tarrant County Community College. Her hobbies included quilting, painting, playing piano, and reading western novels. She was a great cross-word aficionado. She opened the first decorative fabric store in Keller in 1987. Ms. Ward was a co-founder of The Friends of the Keller Library, and a lifelong dedicated Christian conservative. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Conner (Jim) of Arlington; her son, Clint Ward of Seagoville; her son, Craig Ward of Bedford; her loving friend of many years, Loren Wilson of Euless; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her siblings, her parents, and her late husband, E.E. Ward, and her beloved children Clay Ward, Curtis Ward, and Cynthia Pulliam.
