Tony Royce Shelton

Graveside services for Tony Shelton (91) of Keller will be 11:00a.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2024 art Pilot Point Community Cemetery in Pilot Point, Texas. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 12 from 6:00 – 8:00p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home Keller.

 Tony passed away peacefully at his home in Keller on November 6, 2024. 

 Tony Royce Shelton was born August 21, 1933, in Pilot Point, TX. He was the second of three sons born to the late Thomas Edward Shelton and Myrtle Susan (Maxwell Hammons) Shelton. He married the love of his life, Nancy Lou Smith of Tioga, on Feb. 12, 1951. Shortly after marriage they moved to the Fort Worth area, had four children over the next eight years, and have remained in the area throughout their lives. They celebrated 70 years of marriage in 2021. 

Tony was preceded in death by his wife Nancy (2021), oldest son, Kim Royce Shelton (2021), daughter, Janet Sue Shelton (2021); his parents Thomas (1966) and Myrtle (1982), siblings, Don Hammons (1994), Raymon Hammons (1995), Dorothy (Hammons) Potts (1983) O.C. Slim Hammons (2008) Joseph Shelton (2016), Robert Shelton (1956) 

Survivors include; 2 sons; Larry (Becky), of Tullahoma, TN, and Don (Pam), of Keller, Kim’s widow (Deborah) of Colleyville, and former Daughter in law, Beth Barber of Milsap, former son-in-law Mark Schweizer of Orange Beach, AL; grandchildren, Anthony (Misti) Shelton, Kimberly (Jason) Zimmerman, Holly (Tim) Griffin, Greg Debbie) Schweizer, Julia (Tris) Duncan , Jesse (Holli) Shelton, Chelsey (Colin) Preiser, Brad ( Amber) Shelton, Haley (Dustin) McDonald, and Hannah Shelton; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.
