Tracey Kay Adkins
September 2, 1961 — August 24, 2017
On August 24, 2017 heaven received another angel. Tracey Kay Adkins passed suddenly and now rests in the arms of our Savior.
Tracey was born September 2, 1961. She was raised in Flushing, MI along with her siblings and attended Ferris State College in Big Rapids, MI. While at Ferris she met and married her lifelong companion and best friend Clay Adkins. They would have celebrated 36 years of matrimony on September 12th.
Tracey had a deep loving heart and was a friend to all. Most important to her was family. Whether it was raising her children or being a doting grandmother to her five grandchildren. She was very active in her children’s upbringing including home schooling, scheduling their activities, engaging in arts and crafts but most importantly always being there for them. She continued this as a loving Grandmother.
In addition to her husband Clay, Tracey is survived by her parents Larry and Roberta Cywin, Siblings: Robin Groff and Andy Hagan, Children and daughters in law: David and Andrea, John and Amanda, Lauren, her five beloved grandchildren: Faith, Brooke, Liam, Owen and Harper and in addition numerous friends and acquaintances from over the years who grew to know what a true friend was.
While the family mourns their loss, they find comfort knowing Tracey will be awaiting them at Heaven’s gate with open arms. Services will be held as follows: Thursday August 31, 2017 at Lucas Funeral Home 700 West Wall Street Grapevine, TX 76051. Family visitation and viewing from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Memorial service at 2:00 PM with wake immediately following.
