Welcome again to Tracey’s celebration of life!
Tracey Austin, 33, held hands with God Saturday, August 19, 2017 peacefully and surrounded by love, in her home. Like a fine wine, she grew better with each passing year. She was a proud graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Services are being held at the First United Methodist Church of Bedford, where Tracey has been a member from an early age.
Bursting on to the scene July 24th, 1984 to parents she adored, Ian and June. So eager to travel she started walking at 5 months. This young woman lit the wick of her father’s soul. Her mother and she were inseparable. June meant everything to her. Tracey bubbled over with love, laughter and selflessness. Truly fun-loving and adventurous. A modern-day Amelia Earhart. She touched the hearts of everyone she met.
The world had no limits. She charted her flight plans to explore every inch of this earth. Every day she brought life and joy to her home. When she flew, the skies smiled and angels danced around her planes. This pilot not only knew how to pick planes, but she knew fashion. Look out DSW, Tracey and June are ready to shop. Although she looked like a model, she had the heart of mother Teresa. Tracey was our very own super hero.
She never let a moment go by without filling it with excitement. She livened up every party and treated even a stranger like a friend.
There is no one way to describe this brilliant woman. Her accomplishments were infinite. If you have a few days…. well, we will just list a few: a pilot, she mastered three instruments, trombone her favorite, clarinet and flute. You could find her out rock climbing, bike riding, swimming and gymnastics. There is so much more to her. If Tracey could dream it, she would make it her reality.
She totally amazed us all. We will forever cherish, love and hold on to our beloved memories of Tracey.
Tracey was preceded in death by her brother, Leon Phillips.
She leaves to mourn: Parents, Ian and June Austin; sister, Clare Phillips; grandmother, Lyris Stewart; aunt, Jennifer Stewart; uncles, Michael McQuilkin, Christopher Stewart, Cosmos Van Springel & Erwin Austin; her best friends, Jasmine Taylor, Alice Pollard, Evelyn Johnson, Jay Philips, Catherine Windsor, Meghan O'Gorman, Chelsea Reilly and Cheryl Lilke, all of her Southwest Airlines, Class of 7/11, American Airlines & Envoy Air friends and a host of other relatives and friends.
