Troy Richard Cody, 49, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 24th in Dallas, Texas.
Troy Cody was born on January 16th, 1968 in Clifton, Texas to Barry Lloyd Cody and Brenda Ann Eggen of Clifton. He attended Richland High School in North Richland Hills and later married Lila Ruth Robinson on February 11, 1995 in Haltom City, Texas. Troy worked as a draftsman for Dowdy Land Surveyors, of Fort Worth, for more than 20 years. He was also a licensed irrigator and did that in his spare time.
Troy is preceded in death by his father, Barry Lloyd Cody; grandparents Orville Richard Cody and Vivian Lucille Cody; grandparents Troy Christian Eggen and Lola Margaret Eggen.
He is survived by his spouse, Lila Ruth Cody; son’s Joshua Christian Cody and Nicholas Barry Cody; mother Brenda Ann Cody; brothers Gregory Lloyd Cody and Brent Allen Cody.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 27th from 6-8 pm at Lucas Funeral Home (1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst TX 76054). Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 28th at First Baptist Church of Hurst (1801 Norwood Dr.) at 10:00 am.
Graveside service will be 3:00pm at Smiths Bend - Coon Creek Cemetery (1819 FM 2114 Bosque County TX (GPS Latitude 31.82978, Longitude -97.34321)). For those traveling with us to Coon Creek, dinner will be provided after, at the historic Coon Creek School House, following the service.
