Truman Alvis Wynns of Burleson, TX, formerly of Fort Worth, TX, passed away on December 22, 2024, at home at the age of 80 years old.
Truman Wynns was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX. He was an Air Force and Vietnam Veteran and worked until retirement at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM). He also lived in Madrid, Spain while in the Air Force. After his service in the Air Force, he lived in Albuquerque, NM and then settled back in Fort Worth, TX. He was an active volunteer for The Boy Scouts with his two sons as well as The Cowtown Marathon for several years. He was an avid reader and loved learning about science, history, and engineering. Family and friends could always count on him for a “dad joke”.
He is survived by his wife, Gay Cobina Wynns, his children Daniel Wynns and wife Sheri, Christopher Wynns and wife Morgan, grandchildren Austin Wynns, Tally Wynns, Tiffany Wynns, Colten Wynns, and sister Janice. He is preceded in death by his father, Truman Wynns, his mother Geraldine Bryant, sister Pat Bowen, and Uncle Bobby Wynns.
