Vera Howe was born on July 4th, 1939 to the late William Marcus and Vera Delphia Hurst, in Hurst Texas. Better known as Ann or Aunt Punk, she passed away at the home of her daughter on Christmas Eve in Burleson, Texas.
She is survived by her loving and faithful husband Ray Howe; sisters June Demasas and Linda Barnard, sister-in-law, Nina Hurst; children Lindee Westbrook,Theresa Strom, and husband Jeffrey, Tony Howe, Tammy Davis and husband, JoPaul, and son Robert Sampson; Grandchildren: Shelly McGehee, J.R. Page Jr., Troy Page, Danielle Davis, Brittney Davis, James Westbrook, and Daniel McCellan; Great-Grandchildren, Chelsey, Taylor, Jeffrey D., Gracie, Ethan, Makayla, Julia, Davis; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Marcus Hurst, Vera Delphia Thom, Arthur Hurst, Donald Marcus Hurst, Jeanette Rewis and sister Clara Jean Hurst.
She worked for many years at Atlas Match and then moved on and retired from Miller Brewing in Fort Worth Texas.
She loved to ride motorcycles, garden, her grand-babies, embroidery, quilts, watching football, and John Wayne.
The family will receive friends and visitors beginning at 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst
