Vickie Landtroop

October 5, 1948 — November 3, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vickie Jeanne Landtroop. Vickie peacefully departed this life on November 3, 2024, in North Richland Hills, Texas, at the age of 76.

Vickie was born on October 5, 1948, in Oakland, California, and grew up in San Angelo, TX. Vickie pursued her educational aspirations diligently, starting at University of Texas and obtaining a bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University, then later earning a master's degree from the University of Houston in Victoria, Texas. Vickie worked in the government sector, specifically with the Department of Human Services (DHS), allowing her to showcase her compassion and dedication to helping those in need, leaving a lasting impact on many lives.

In her personal life, Vickie married RW Landtroop and had two children, Angela and Kevin. She found solace in simple pleasures - engrossing herself in books and creating beautiful pieces through sewing. In her retirement years, she found herself enjoying her grandchildren, especially family gatherings, movie nights, and engaging in friendly canasta games with those she held dear. Her selfless nature, generosity and kind heart will forever be remembered by all who knew her.

Vickie is survived by sister, Sharon Barnhizer Dietz; her children, Angela S. Miller and Kevin W. Landtroop, as well as her grandchildren, Meghan, Mikey and Emily Miller and Elin and Korbin Landtroop. While she now rests in peace, Vickie is reunited with her late sister, Linda Barnhizer, and her husband, RW Landtroop.

The memory of Vickie Landtroop will forever remain in our hearts. A memorial service to honor and celebrate her life will be held on November 9, 2024, at 11:00 am at Keller United Methodist Church in Keller, Texas.
