Virginia Lee Hattaway
March 20, 1925 — December 30, 2020
Mrs. Virginia R. Hattaway, age 95, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020. She was born March 20, 1925, in Chattanooga Tennessee, to the late George and Bess Rogers.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Linton D. Hattaway; two daughters, Linda Hattaway Sherwood and Nancy Hattaway Luttrell; and two sons that passed at birth David Hattaway and Michael Hattaway.
Virginia had a been a member of Shady Oaks Baptist Church in Hurst since 1970. She was a retired medical transcriptionist, ending her career at Carswell Air Force Base. She spent her life taking care of others and was a great example of unconditional love to her family.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Sherrell Blackburn Basden; David Luttrell, Krystal Sherwood James and six great grandchildren, Brady Allen, Peyton Allen, Fisher James, Layla Luttrell, Kooper James, and Meadow Luttrell. She also leaves behind a loving church family and the wonderful caregivers that have cared for her the past couple of years.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville with James and Lori Hurst officiating.
