Walter (Dub) Reed Thomas Jr.

Walter (Dub) Reed Thomas, Jr., a loving husband and father, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 10, 2019 at the age of 91.
He was born in Vernon, Texas on March 5, 1927. He joined the Navy in 1945 and received an honorable discharge in 1946 and called back in and served again until 1954.
He was employed at Fleming Food Distribution Company as an Accounts Receivable Manager for 36 years. He loved his Lord and Savior, his church, family, fishing, traveling, and sports. Also loved watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren growing up and playing sports.
Survivors: Dub is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Peggy; son, Lyndal Thomas and wife Cathy; daughters, Debbie Dickey and husband Ronney, Sherry Ginsler and husband Tom, and Lisa Hughes and husband Jeff; Eleven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Project Help at First United Methodist Church of Bedford, Heart to Heart Hospice of Fort Worth, or a charity of choice.
