Wanda Lynn Hernandez

Wanda Hernandez, 84, of Burleson, passed away November 25, 2020 at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, November 30, 2020, at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, 518 SW Johnson Ave. in Burleson, with visitation an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Everman Cemetery.
Wanda was born February 8, 1936 in Waco, TX to Louis and Theda Koerth. She grew up in Fort Worth, TX. She graduated from Keene Nursing School in Keene, TX with a degree in nursing.

She worked for the Osteopathic Hospital and Huguley Hospital as a Registered Nurse for 20 years before retiring in 2018.

Wanda married Gilbert Hernandez in Fort Worth, and they were happily married for 25 years. She was a member of The Seventh Day Adventist and enjoyed being the Treasurer there.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Edward and Theda; husband, Gilbert Hernandez; and sister, Louita Jones.
Wanda was survived by her daughters, Theresa Boyd and husband, Bill and Lisa Fisher and husband, John; son, Casey Magar and wife, Paula, Gilbert Hernandez, Jr. and wife, Barbara, and Alvin Hernandez; brother, Robert Britton and wife, Kay; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; three nieces; and three nephews.
