Wanda Sue (Fennell) Roberts passed away on October 6, 2023, at the age of 73 in Red Oak, Texas. She was born on September 1, 1950, in Ennis, Texas, to her parents, William and Minnie Fennell. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents William and Minnie, her loving husband, Harry, her sons Randy and Tommy, her grandson Al, her sister Billie, and her brothers Mike and John.
Wanda was a strong and loving person who would do anything for her friends and family. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and they always brought a smile to her face, no matter how challenging her day was. She had a resilient spirit and never knew the word quit. Wanda had a passion for crafting and gardening, finding joy in creating beautiful things.
In her career, Wanda spent many years as a seamstress, bringing happiness to millions of people through her work on clothing. She had a talent for creating garments that spread joy and made others feel good.
Outside of work, Wanda enjoyed drag racing, fishing, camping, and crafting. These hobbies allowed her to embrace her adventurous side and express her creativity.
Wanda is survived by her sons Billy, Don, Gary, and John, her daughter Donna, her daughters-in-law Brandy, Darci, and Lisa, her sister Loretta and her sister-in-law Kim and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Services for Wanda will be held at Lucas Funeral Home, located at 700 W Wall St, Grapevine, TX 76051. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 4-6 p.m. The service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 11 a.m. Following the service, a graveside ceremony will take place at DFW National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211, at 1:15 p.m.
