Wanda Louise Waddington

September 27, 1930 — January 20, 2020

Wanda L. Mays Waddington, 89, passed away on January 20, 2020 peacefully at sunset surrounded by her family.

Born September 27, 1930 in Potter, Arkansas to Roy G. and Mary L. Mays. She was a resident of Bedford, Texas but grew up in Lake Dallas.

She married Eldon John Waddington on May 19, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas. “Waddy” was in the Air Force and they moved every few years all over the U.S. and overseas to Tokyo, Japan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, “Waddy”, son David, brother Gilbert G. Mays and his wife Dita, sisters Bonnie S. Mays and Martha A. Mays Braly.

Wanda is survived by her son Gary E. Waddington and his partner Sybil Marionneaux of Orange Beach, Alabama, daughter Suzan L. Waddington of Bedford, Texas, daughter Marla J. Waddington of Euless, Texas, sisters Doris Morgan of Dallas, Texas, Dorothy Goldring of Weatherford, Texas, Elaine Livingston of Panama City Beach, Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wanda was the matriarch of the family and loved by all. We will miss the get togethers and all the love she gave to family and friends.

We love you!

Graveside burial on February 7, 2020 at 11:00am at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas, Texas.
