Warren Casey Jones Jr., 73, passed away in Grapevine on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015.
Memorial service: 1:30p Friday, Jan. 8th at First Baptist Church, Keller.
He was born May 1, 1942, in Dallas and he grew up in Oak Cliff. He attended Hampton Place and Calvary Baptist churches.
He went to school at Lida Hooe Elementary, Greiner Junior High and Sunset High schools. He earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Texas Arlington.
His first career job was with the Pillsbury Co. who enabled him to go back to school, following which he worked for the Curtiss Candy Co. He then moved on to Wrangler Jeanswear, VFC. Wrangler was a great company in a great industry. He had a lot of fun and met many wonderful people in his 25 years there. In fact, success there allowed him to retire early and pursue many hobbies, including golf, fishing, gardening and collecting cars. He had time to reestablish friendships with several old school chums.
Warren Casey really enjoyed his family and friends. He was devoted to his lovely wife and their time together; it was wonderful.
He was preceded in death by his father, Casey Jones; mother, Dorothy Robinson-Humphreys (Jones); and sister, Barbara Bull.
Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Jones; sons, Terry Jones of Glendale, Calif., and Tim Jones of Conroe; grandchildren, Ashleigh Jones, Bradley Jones and Madison Watson; nieces, Glenda Polk and Cynthia Irvin; and nephews; Kenneth Bull, Chris Bull and David Bloyed.
These are the highlights of Warren's life that he thought were important. His family would like you also to know what a loving, caring, thoughtful gentleman he always was. We will miss him so.
