NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Wayne Allan Burlew, 70, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Memorial service: 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Friendship Baptist Church, 1248 W. Hurst Blvd., Hurst. Interment: His final resting place is in the beautiful Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Boy Scouts of America in his name.
He was born Oct. 16, 1941. He served in the U.S. Army 1967-1969 and was a Vietnam veteran. He was also proud of his experience with the Boy Scouts of America, where he achieved Eagle Scout. He was active in North Richland Hills Amateur Radio Club and R.A.C.E.S. with call sign K0UJG.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Jr.
Survivors: His wife of almost 50 years, Sharlene; one niece; nephews; other relatives; and many friends at Life Outreach International Ministry where he was employed.
