Wayne Chris Westbrook, of Keller, Texas, passed away on Sunday, October 27th, in Maricopa, Arizona.
Wayne passed peacefully in his sleep towards the end of a road trip to Las Vegas for their 20th anniversary with his loved and cherished wife, Lesley. He had carefully (and secretly) recreated their wedding trip, casino by casino, restaurant by restaurant, for this special milestone.
He was born on August 5th, 1950 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida to Chris and Jewel Westbrook. He graduated from Miami Palmetto Senior High School in 1968.
Wayne proudly served his country starting in the Navy, then switching to the Air Force Reserves, where he later retired. Wayne also worked at FedEx for 32 years, where he gained the nickname “The Godfather” to his closest co-workers, in which he formed great bonds.
He was a master of trivia, history buff, true patriot, veteran, loyal friend, and had a great sense of humor.
He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, and friend to all that knew him, and he will truly be missed.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Jewel.
Wayne is survived by wife Lesley; stepson Chris Newby; sister Renee Parkinson and husband Dan; niece Lily Denny and husband Kellen; and niece Molly Parkinson.
