Wilbur Troyce Harlin was born in Itasca, Texas and graduated from Itasca High School in 1947. At that time, he discovered he had tuberculosis. After a five-year recovery period, he went to Brantley Draughon Business School in Fort Worth and started to work at Anchor Metals, Inc, in Hurst as a purchasing agent. He worked there for 34 years until the plant closed. He then finished his business career at Business Furniture Distributors in Dallas. In 1954, he married Nella Faye McCanless, also of Itasca. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred. B. Harlin and Frieda Susan McClain; grandson, Colby Cary; and niece, Jennifer Woolard.
He is survived by his wife, Nella Harlin; sons, Troy Harlin and John Harlin; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Durene Crouch, and Enola Woolard; and one nephew.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. at Shady Oaks Baptist Church in Hurst, Texas.
