William "Bill" Riley Sinkler

William “Bill” Riley Sinkler, 84 of Grapevine, TX, passed away on March 27, 2021. He was born August 1,1936 in Highland Park, MI. Bill was raised on a farm in Iowa where he went fishing as much as possible. He joined the Air Force in October 1954 and during his service, he spent time in England. After leaving the Air Force, he enrolled in avionics training at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Tulsa, OK where he met and married Carolyn Ellis in 1960. Bill started in 1961 with Delta Airlines; he made his career in aviation maintenance retiring in 1992. During their life together, Bill and Carolyn lived in Iowa, Illinois, California, Missouri, and finally settling in Texas. Bill loved to go fishing at every opportunity, camping with friends and family, and watching all sports on TV. Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carolyn Sinkler of Grapevine, TX; his son Mark Sinkler and wife Tamy; his son Todd Sinkler and wife Michelle; his daughter Dawn Sinkler; his grandson Jantz Sinkler and wife Christine; grandsons Aaron Sinkler and Thomas Parks, and granddaughter Megan Sinkler; his brother Chuck Sinkler; his sister Hollie Swain and her husband Tony; his sister Marty Liljequist and husband Andy, and many nieces and nephews.
