William Thomas Iggers, Jr.

William Thomas Jr (Bill) passed away after a long illness on January 3, 2022. Bill was 70 and living in Grapevine, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Michele Bigler Driggers and his son Wm. Thomas Driggers V.
Bill’s parents W. T. Driggers and Margret McLaughlin Driggers preceded him in death. Bill leaves behind his two aunts, Joyce Bayless of Rockdale, Texas and Winna Dean Allen of Mount Pleasant, Texas and his aunt and uncle Millie and Paul McLaughlin. Also surviving are countless cousins whom he loved dearly.

Bill was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas but spent much of his formative years in Colorado and Oklahoma. His parents settled finally in Plano, Texas and he graduated in 1969 from Plano High School. After receiving an Associates Degree from Tyler Junior College he completed his BA at North Texas University.

Bill began working for Federal Express in 1977 and grew with the fledging company. He took an early retirement offered in 2004 while holding the position of Senior Instructor. He had many colleagues and students who became great friends. A few years after retirement Bill began working part-time at Yates Corner in Grapevine where he had the pleasure of meeting numerous new friends. Due to Covid 19 and his health concerns he resigned in 2020.

Per Bill’s request his ashes will be scattered later in East Texas and Utah. His final wishes were that his friends and family say a prayer for him.
