William David Echols

October 6, 1949 — May 2, 2024

William David Echols was born Oct 6, 1949. He went to be with the Lord May 2nd, 2024. He was a good husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife Sandy Echols, son Jacob Echols and daughter Amber Echols Parker, daughter-in-law Sandra Echols, granddaughters, Adrienne Echols and Gigi Echols, grandson Lucas Echols, Son-in-law Chris Parker, granddaughters Gracie Parker, Gyllian Parker, and grandson Grant Parker, Sister Marian Brown and Brother-in-law Ricky Brown, and Brothers Bobby Echols and Brad Echols.

David was very proud of his military background. He served 8 years in the Navel Seabees, and 3 of those years were served in Vietnam.

He never met a stranger and had a big caring heart. David loved working with the LD Bell high school rodeo team for many years. He gave his time freely. He loved making the barbeque that the team sold.

David loved working with wood and making crafts such as bird houses and wind chimes. He loved tinkering in his shop. He was a deacon in the church. As a family man, he was a Christian and made sure his children were brought up in church so they would learn about the Lord.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in honor of Mr. Echols be made to Special Operations Warrior Foundation. https://specialops.org/
