William Edward "Bill" Gallagher, 68, died peacefully at his home in North Richland Hills, TX Saturday morning, July 13, 2013, after an extended illness with cancer.
Bill was born Aprill 22, 1945 in Wartrace, Tennessee to the late John William Gallagher and to Mary Hazel Burks Gallagher Brannon.
He graduated from the Webb School in Bell Buckle, Tennessee, the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Cincinnati. Bill was a licensed chemical engineer who worked on numerous projects around the country. He retired at age 62 and had been enjoying his family and traveling with his wife, Barbara.
Bill is survived by his mother, Hazel Gallegher Brannon of Wartrace, TN; his wife, Barbara Eichhorn Gallagher of N. Richland Hills, TX; son, John Wade (Jessica) Gallagher of Elmwood Park, IL; daughter, Sharon Beth (Kevin) Harris of Weatherford, TX; brother, Donald Ray (Jean) Gallagher of Wartrace, TN; three grandchildren, Marion Hazel Harris, D.J. Harris and Harrison Gallagher; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
A celebration of life event is planned in the Fellowship Hall of the Wartrace Church of Christ in Wartrace, Tennessee on August 10th, 2013 at 5:00 p.m.
