William Asa Griffin, 73, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 11, 2018.
Service: A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday in the chapel of Lucas Funeral Home in Keller. Interment will follow at Dallas – Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a Veterans Organization of your choice.
Bill was born June 19, 1944 in Plymouth, North Carolina to the late Wesley and Novella Griffin. After High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and proudly served until his retirement in 1980. After his retirement, he pursued a college education, taught in a private school and began pastoring churches. He served as a Pastor of Baptist Churches in Saginaw and Rayville, LA. In addition, he greatly enjoyed serving in a number of Nursing Home Ministries and volunteering as a Chaplin for the VA.
Survivors: Wife of 51 years, Vickie Griffin; daughter, Tanya Griffin; brother, Ray Griffin; sister, Jean Griffin; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members.
