William Howard Jackson was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on April 2, 1958. He passed away on May 3, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas.
After our parents moved to Roanoke , Texas, which was in the Keller Texas school district, he graduated from Keller high school in 1976. He then went to Texas Tech in Lubbock , Texas.
Our parents bought an airplane for Bill to learn to fly out of Denton, Texas. He had finally found his calling. He then went to work for ComAir out of Cincinnati. He then went to work for Piedmont Airlines. From there he went to work for Continental Airlines and attained the rank of captain and retained his rank at United airlines.
Bill got the love of flying from his father, William Howard Jackson who was also a Captain at Braniff Airlines and a four tour Air Force veteran from Korean and Vietnam wars.
Bill loved his boys, family , cooking, fishing, and hunting in that order. Even though he became ill, he was still hoping to fly again and go dove hunting and fishing. Whatever his boys were interested in, he made it happen.
His survivors are his son, William Howard Jackson, III, and his wife Kaylee Jackson of Justin, Texas, Hunter Ross Jackson of North Richland Hills, Texas, sister, Catherine Philippi and husband Rick Philippi of Keller, Texas, brother John Mills Jackson and Cynthia Jackson of Sattelite Beach, Florida and he has one niece Becca Apetz and husband Andy Apetz currently in Germany, and niece Kaitlyn Jackson of Sattelite Beach, Florida and nephews Ricky Philippi and his wife Ashley Philippi of Keller, Texas , and nephew Jonathan Jackson, of Sattelite Beach , Florida, and five great nieces and nephews. he has also 10 other cousins and one living aunt, Virginia Sumrall Royes, formerly from Laurel, Mississippi where the family is originally from.
His celebration of life will be held at 1409 Jackson Road, Keller, Texas, Saturday, May 15th from 2-5.
