William "Bill" Lash, 86, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2020 in Grapevine, Texas.
William was born on November 10, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio to Rose and Stephen Lash. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed and never forgotten. William was preceded in passing by his parents; and two siblings Thomas Lash and Rosalie Jones.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1952-1956 as a dental technician and will be honored at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. After his years in the service, he worked for Erie Railroad and Diamond Shamrock in Cleveland and then for Occidental Chemical Corporation in Dallas.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gloria. He is also survived by his sons, Stephen and Daniel, and daughters, Teri Lash-Couch and Karen Lorenz. He was a proud grandfather to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
William moved to Grapevine, Texas in 1982 where he became a devoted member in the Knights of Columbus with Saint Michael’s Catholic Church. He dedicated his life to his faith and service to others. William touched many lives and will be forever in our hearts.
A mass will be held on November 4 at 11:00 am at Saint Francis Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
