William "Carl" Mcgee, Jr.

William “Carl” McGee Jr, of Colleyville, Texas passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, with his family by his side. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and friend by all who knew and loved him.

Carl was born to Bill and Novis McGee on February 15, 1948, in Fort Worth, Texas. Carl graduated from Paschal High School and The University of Texas at Austin. He later retired from a 27 year career with the City of Fort Worth in Information Technology. Carl married his wife, Kay, on July 29, 1976. Carl was an avid traveler and sports fan, especially of Dallas Stars hockey and TCU Horned Frogs football.

Carl was preceded in death by his father, William Carl McGee Sr, mother Novis McGee and daughter Melanie Yancey. He is survived by his wife, Kay, his daughter Jenifer Mulholland and husband Ray, grandchildren Loren Jackson and Aidan Rickelman, as well as many other extended family members.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2023 from 6:00pm to 8:00 and Memorial Service Thursday, January 4, 2023 at 10:00am, both at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, Texas.
