William Monsey Woods, Sr.

William Monsey Woods Sr, better known as Bill or Bear, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 in Frisco, Texas. He was born on Saturday, September 27, 1958 in Port Arthur, Texas to James William Woods and Autrey Ann Monsey. He will always be remembered as a loving father, brother, grandfather and colleague to all that knew and loved him.

During his young adult years Bill began a career in public service with the forestry commission in Mississippi. He relocated back to North Texas in 1984 where he joined the City of Euless public works department. After twenty years he retired from Euless and went on to the City of Boyd and then the City of Lake Worth, Where he retired again in 2018.

Bill is survived by his children William Monsey Woods Jr, his wife Tarina. James Woods, his wife Lisa, Sarah Haskins, her husband Arthur; granddaughters Brooklyn, Tamra, her husband Taylor, Krystal, her husband Tye; great granddaughters Kodi, Blayne, Raegan, and Rylan; Siblings Jim Woods, his wife Shirley, Bob Woods, his wife Debbie. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Autrey Woods; brother, Michael Phillips; nephew, Spencer Woods.
