Yiyuk Estela Alatorre

February 25, 1957 — August 4, 2022

Yiyuk Estela Alatorre Leon was born February 25th, 1957 in Mexico City, Mexico and went to be with the Lord August 4th, 2022. She is united in death with her father, mother, two brothers, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Survived by her two brothers Joaquin and Francisco, her loving step-mother Maria Elena, nieces and nephews.

Yiyuk (Chinese nickname of her mother that means “like Jade” ) attended Elementary and High School in Radford Girls school in El Paso Texas. After high school she studied abroad for a year in Geneva, Switzerland, living with her Aunt and Uncle and cousins, while she meanwhile studied French. She went on to study and receive her Bachelor Degree from the University of Texas at El Paso, then continued her education obtaining a Masters Degree in Librarian studies at Texas Woman’s University in Denton Texas. She held jobs in the Dallas and Ft Worth Public Libraries, Tarrant County Community College, and finally at The Kings University. She then held positions at Gateway Church Duplication Dept., and finally most recently at Daystar in the Prayer call center.

She enjoyed literature that challenged her mind, music that moved the soul and was a devoted believer in the word of our Lord.
