She was born on June 06, 1951 to Sang ki Nam and Keum Ryun Kyung in Seoul, South Korea. She had married Harry Dean Tillman on August 16, 1975. She gave birth to two children, Harry Dee Tillman, and Cheryl Denise Hollis (Tillman). Young was a military wife and later became a dining facility cook on the military base. She was able to travel and live in many places such as Germany, Colorado, Hawaii, Alaska, and Oklahoma. Harry and Yong separated for a long period and divorced. Eventually, she made her home in Dallas, Texas, where she met Chium Pak, and gained his companionship for several years. During this time, she had established her own janitorial service business and both worked the business, while managing other employees. Chium and Yong got married on September 17, 1996. She had retired their business in 1998. She spent the remaining years as a house wife, watching over her grandbabies, helping others become homeowners and handling their affairs, active member and/or volunteer of her church, and also loved to workout daily at the gym. Towards the end of 2016, she started having pain in her left shoulder. On July 14, 2017, she was diagnosed with ALS, and the disease spread rapidly leading up to her death on August 5, 2018.
As a well-respected and loving person, Yong is survived by her husband: Chium Pak, two children: Harry Dee Tillman, married to Stephanie Tillman; and Cheryl Hollis (Tillman), married to Demarcus Hollis, four grandchildren: Diabri Hollis, Donavan Hollis, Hank Tillman and Jackie Tillman, three brothers: Chul Woo Nam married to Jong Nam, Tae Woo Nam, Jae Woo Nam, two sisters in Korea: Sun Woo Nam and Sun Woo Nam, two nieces: Shin Nam and Isabell Wolfe (Nam) married to Michael Wolfe. She was preceded in death by Harry Dean Tillman (ex-husband), Sang and Keum Nam (parents), Sun Woo Nam (brother), and Janice Nam (niece).
